About the plant
Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. It requires no chemicals and very little water to grow. It grows so rapidly that it can be harvested every 2 to 3 years with little or no environmental impact, which is why it is such an eco-friendly and sustainable resource. It does not require fertilisers or pesticides to boost its growth because it is naturally prolific and resilient and amazingly pest-resistant, seldom infected by pathogens or eaten by pests. Another factor making it so environmentally friendly is that it absorbs and releases moisture rapidly, releasing more oxygen into the air and improving air quality.
